General description
This SOOP is aimed at obtaining a detailed map of the spatial distribution of solar atmospheric composition across a large area (near 1/2) of the Sun using SPICE in a mosaic pointings. The sequencing of constructing the mosaic is designed to follow the mosaicking pattern of Hinode/EIS.
Default SOOP duration: 50 hours
Pointing requirements: mosaic of offpointing
Triggers: only IS triggers enabled
Observations requirement (baseline)
Instrument | Mode | Comment |
---|---|---|
SPICE (leads) | SPICE Composition Mapping (4 hours per map)
Observation time: 50 hours | Possible lines for SPICE Composition Mapping: – 17 lines (2 profiles+ 15 intensities)
N.B.1 This line list for SPICE Composition Mapping is similar to that of L_BOTH_HRES_LCAD_CH-Boundary-Expansion, except for O VI 1037 (removed), Si II 992 (added), Mg VIII 769 Å (added) and Mg IX 769 Å (added) Specific selection for cooler lines:

EPD | Normal Mode | |
MAG | Normal Mode | |
RPW | Detection Mode | |
SWA | Normal Mode |
